As a boy, Juan collected firewood from the surrounding hills. He often would find prehistoric pottery shards and was enthralled thinking about how he might make similar beauty.

Unfortunately the prehistoric tradition had been lost for more than 500 years. So he began to experiment to find what natural materials he would need and how he would use them. After sixteen years of experimentation, he began to produce some simple polychrome pots.
